Aspen, Colorado

Lisa, Bryan, and I made a day trip to Aspen via Independence Pass. The road through Independence Pass, CO-82, is the highest paved state highway over the Continental Divide in Colorado. There are lots of fun sections of the road such as sheer drop-offs without guardrails, and "road narrows" signs where the road immediately becomes one-lane.

When we arrived in Aspen, we drove around in the hills to look at rich celebrity houses. The hills also provided a good view of the valley.
