Big Ape

June 17, 2008 20:35:16

Apparently this big ape has been in the Wynkoop forever, but I never noticed it until the other day when my friends asked me to meet them by the big ape. "You want me to meet you WHERE?!?!"

So, I was walking along the street one day, and I came across this sign in the first picture indicating the sidewalk was closed, and instructing pedestrians to cross over to the other sidewalk. I can see the good sense in this, so I oblige and walk over to the other side of the street where I see the sign in the second and third pictures indicating that I should... HEY! Wait a second!!!

When sprinklers attack...

May 23, 2008 08:10:59

You never know when improperly adjusted sprinklers are going to be hiding just off the sidewalk, ready to taunt and harass the pedestrian commuters of our fair city.

Capitol Defense!

April 24, 2008 06:24:38

I saw these Air Force people unloading something that looks like a sailplane out in front of the capitol building, today. I, for one, can sleep better at night knowing that our capitol is being guarded by a heavier-than-air vehicle without a motor. :)

It was worth a shot. With the help of jumper cables, a car manual, the internet, and a pair of treos for illumination, the electrons were flowing but the starter wasn't starting. The current failed to live up to its potential. Fortunately, Albert showed up and saved the day with his 1.21 jiggawatts of Big Red Truck power.

EARTHQUAKE!

February 21, 2008 08:44:50
February 21, 2008 08:45:07

Utah really knows how to shake it! This 6.3 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter near the Nevada-Utah border was a seismic alarm clock that was actually able to wake me up this morning at my hotel room in Ogden, Utah. The bed was shaking back and forth, and I didn't even have to put any quarters in! If it's all right with everyone else, I'd like to schedule another one for tomorrow at 6:30am, but closer to the Cheyenne area.
